I am trying to wire a four channel relay to a raspberry pi to be able to toggle some 5v lovers on and off. I've researched substantially but have not discovered anything complete regarding the rpi2b .
Mine is the four channel version. I apologise but i've been unable to completely apprehend the way to use this nicely with an external strength deliver. I'm able to get it to the placement shown inside the video, however i am uncertain how to cord the outside energy supply and lovers into the relay. I idea that this will be a time-honored simple system,m however it seems there are considerable variations between exclusive relays as to how the inputs or even the outputs are stressed out, and even though that is a low voltage state of affairs, i simply need to get it proper.
For the output (the facet in which the lovers are linked) - connect the red twine of the fan to its power deliver. Which means to the 5v supply (purple wire) from the microusb board. - Connect the black wire of the fan to the com pin of the relay (that could be pin no.2) - the no pin of the relay should visit the gnd from the microusb board - and the nc pin of the relay should be left floating (or linked to the 5v from the microusb board).
